Location
Grahamstown is a city in the Eastern Cape Province of the Republic of South Africa and is the seat of the Makana municipality. The population of greater Grahamstown, as of 2003, was 124,758.
Student Life
Rhodes University has a rich and vibrant student life. Students have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of intramural sports and social clubs, which will bring JCU students into contact with South African and other international students.

How to Apply
Admission to this program is based on academic standing and student maturity. The deadline for applications to study abroad for Fall Semester is March 1, and for Spring Semester is October 1.
Rhodes University deadline dates are:
- First semester (February to June): 1 October
- Second Semester (July to December): 1 March
